So we were eating on the patio when he noticed a bird twitching on the floor. Its wings were flapping wildly but the bird wasn't flying. It couldn't even stand, much less fly. It was just shaking uncontrollably. I hated seeing the poor thing suffer like that. Of course we didn't know what was wrong with the bird. A passing individual noticed the bird as well and said that it was probably the West Nile virus. The bird continued for about 10 minutes when, after a loud screech, it went on its back, stopped moving, and its legs, no longer tense from the pain, slowly rose, signifying its death. I have never seen anything like it. The poor thing just died right in front of us. The torture, then sudden death. I mean, yeah I have seen bugs and such die, but this… this was different. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I lost my appetite. This gets me thinking about how when I become a nurse, I will most likely watch someone die like that. Suffer for the longest time, beg for death, and then finally pass away. I wonder how I'll be able to handle that…
Anyways…
Journey to the Center of the Earth
"That movie got good reviews" he said. The fool. I want my $10 back. haha. That movie wasn't good, just as I had expected. It made me wish that we had just rented movies and watched them at my house instead or at least watched it online or something. Maybe if we watched it in 3D we may have liked it. It's a family movie. Leave it for the friggin kids.
I thought it was funny how the ticket man remembered me. "There's that smile" he said to me. The last time we went to watch a movie at the Americana, which was ages ago, he said to me as we were buying our tickets…
"Did you leave something at the door?"
I replied, "No…"
"I think you left your smile at the door."
I smiled, laughed and he said "There it is. Keep it on. It looks good on you."
P.S. We only watched Journey to the Center of the Earth because we are going to watch Hellboy 2 on Thursday, just so that we are saved from the boredom that is Universal Studios.
Afterwards, we visited dear Nikki who is leaving for the PI on Friday. :( We played some tennis cocker, got some boba (damn boba) and played some pusoy dos. I hope she has fun there! Don't forget to buy me a barrel man! haha.
Oh yeah. I was up until 4am today trying to finish my damn Nintendo speech. When it came time for class to start, my friggin teacher didn't even show up. I guess that's a good thing but I really wanted to get my speech over and done with. I was wearing my Nintendo shirt too! X[ oh well. more time to practice.
P.S. I ended up sleeping in my car to catch up on some sleep. :P

I finally hung out with Jess, Jean, and John, aka "The J Crew" after just about forever and a day. I haven't seen those three in the longest time, so I was especially happy that I was going to spend the whole day with them.
Hermosa Beach
We were lucky to have bumped into John as we were leaving the pizza place since he had forgotten his cell phone. Who knows what would've happened if we left any earlier than we did.
Oh lord was it hard to find parking. Well, it wasn't exactly hard since all we had to do was sit and wait, but damn was it a long wait. Haha.
It was fun but I only wish that I could go to a beach that had perfect waves for boogie boarding. Last time, with Stacey and Christia, the waves were too strong at Surfrider beach, but for Hermosa, the waves were too weak. The waves looked big, but when they got to us, it was nothing. -_- I think the only time that I went to a beach that had PERFECT waves was when I went with JC, Car, Ann, and Zen to Huntington. PERFECT waves for boogie boarding. <3
Poor John couldn't go in the water with us since he didn't bring his swimwear. He took off his jeans revealing his jalapeño boxers when we all simultaneously decided that he should keep the jeans ON. haha. I felt bad that he had to stand there and watch us but it was cute how he made a new friend. A little boy was helping him make a sand square. Jokes about a "dick in a box" soon followed. lol.
We buried Jean very nicely and we took pictures. The typical jumping picture, which we didn't get right. Then Jess and John were doing weird ass "gangsta" poses. Silly kids. :P
After the beach we didn't really know what to do. Bowling? Greek Festival? Band practice? We ended up going grocery shopping and cooking some pasta (the specific name of it eludes me) at John's house. Yummy stuff but I agree that it needed some salt. Cooking was fun though. YAY TEAMWORK! XD We also bought some green tea ice cream from Seafood City but it didn't exactly taste like the green tea ice cream that we all loved. I think green tea tempura ice cream is the only one for me. <3
John's friends came over with Rock Band and we played for a bit. Man do I suck at the drums, but I still love playing them. lol. I was suddenly reminded of Mr. Schaller, the odd music teacher from St. Dominic's, and how he wanted to take a picture with me as I was playing the drums. Such an odd man.
Cooking with friends is fun. I want to do that more often. :) Maybe I should throw a cooking party… That would be awesome. XD
As we were leaving, Jess asked me if I still liked him. I told her no but I guess you can say I have a crush? Haha. Why? He's outgoing and funny, he's always talking, never boring, just really fun to hang out with. But why not? Because it seems like he loves to flirt with a lot of girls, and that's just a turn off for me. I won't be making any moves. I don't want to ruin a friendship. But if he makes a move, oh lord do I hope I won't do anything stupid and let out all my SF on the poor boy like I did with Justin. I'll stick to being his friend. That's what's best I suppose.
He invited us to watch a Dodger game with him this month. I think it might be fun. Maybe. We'll see if Jess can make it.
Summer school's almost over and I'm procrastinating like no other. I'm going to get the grade i deserve, well, maybe not. I'm probably going to get a higher grade than what I deserve. lol.
2 weeks! Can't wait!
